Registry business now operates close to 20 top level domains.

Internet Naming Company has acquired five top level domain names from Lifestyle Domain Holdings: .diy, .food, .lifestyle, .living and .vana.

Lifestyle Domain Holdings was part of Scripps Networks, which is now part of Warner Bros Discovery. The company recently terminated its other two top level domain contracts, .cityeats and .frontdoor.

The five domains offer a unique opportunity for Internet Naming Company because the domains have not been launched yet. Most TLDs that can be acquired have been launched and are thus burdened with historical pricing and have already passed the sunrise and landrush phases.

Internet Naming Company represents what’s left of Uni. Shayan Rostam, the company’s founder, told Domain Name Wire:

Since becoming an independent registry operator in October 2022, Internet Naming Co now operates and manages nearly 20 TLDs. I’m very excited to work with our registrar partners to get these affordable new strings into the hands of end users in early 2024.

The company also recently acquired .realty from Identity Digital.
