Top level domain registry makes the list for the third consecutive year.

Top level domain operator Identity Digital made the Inc. 5000 list for 2023, the third consecutive year it made the list.

This year’s list ranks the top private companies (that applied for a spot) that had the highest revenue growth between 2019 and 2022. Identity Digital landed at 2,535 with 215% revenue growth over that three-year period.

The growth rate was certainly aided by the company’s acquisition of Afilias at the end of 2020. But its growth rate was better than last year’s list (184%), so it’s more than just the acquisition pushing it forward.

Another domain-related company, Whois API, landed at 4,403 with 97% three-year growth. The company has made the list every year since 2017, with the exception of 2020.

BrankBucket was on the list last year but not this year.

I didn’t see other domain name companies while scanning the list, but it’s possible they are in unusual categories I overlooked. For example, Identity Digital is listed as a consumer products company.

A handful of hosting companies, including NameHero and BigScoots, also made the list.
