Domain is likely being transferred as part of lawsuit settlement.

Now, Edible Arrangements can sell edibles, too.

It appears that a long-running lawsuit over edibles.com has been settled.

In August 2020, Edible Arrangements, a franchisor of stores that sell fruit arrangements, sued the owner of edibles.com for cybersquatting.

The company had changed its primary branding, Edible Arrangements, to merely Edible before the lawsuit and forwarded edible.com to ediblearrangements.com.

But its interest in the plural version of the domain might go further than its main rebranding: the company started selling CBD edibles as part of a new business.

World Media Group, LLC, which owns a number of valuable domain names, used edibles.com to promote a dietary app. The company filed its own suit against Edible Arrangements.

Both parties have been in on-and-off settlement talks, and it appears the most recent settlement will come to fruition.

On January 12, lawyers for both parties notified the judge that they had reached a settlement in principle and were working on the details. They anticipated filing dismissals by the end of the month.

While dismissals have not been filed yet, edibles.com has entered Pending Transfer status at the registrar. This signals that World Media Group is transferring the domain name to Edible Arrangements as part of the deal.
