ICANN has announced the location for next year’s Policy Forum, which means the locations of the next three ICANN meetings are set.
The organization has selected Kigali, Rwanda for the ICANN80 Policy Forum taking place June 10-13, 2024. It will take place at the Kigali Convention Center (pictured).
While many people know Rwanda for the genocide and conflict that took place in the 90s, the U.S. State Department currently lists Rwanda at its lowest level of alert for travel. It warns to use added caution in some border regions, but Kigali is far from those areas.
This year’s Policy Forum was in Washington, D.C. earlier this month.
The next ICANN meeting will be the Annual General Meeting, ICANN78. It will be in Hamburg, Germany from October 21-26, 2023.
ICANN returns to San Juan, Puerto Rico, March 2-7, 2024 for ICANN79.
No location has been selected for next year’s Annual General Meeting in November, but ICANN82 is already scheduled for Seattle in March 2025.
