Domain News

My hopes of a stronger Canadian domain aftermarket have been renewed

08.26.08 | Comment?

I sent one last request to customer service this afternoon from my MyID account and finally got a response. Apparently I have not been receiving their email responses from my previous inquiries. A follow up would have been nice, but it is what it is.

I didn’t completely get the answers I was looking for this time, but on the upside, they have some good news to announce regarding the next auction in September; according to MyID.ca, a new version of their domain auction platform is about to be released that will require resubmitting domains for auction. A very small price to pay to be able to take a Canadian domain auction platform to the next level and putting some muscle behind the .ca aftermarket. I have high hopes.

Time to blow the dust off a few domains languishing around in my inventory since the July auction. I’ve actually benefitted in a way from this delay; domains I would have been happy to sell back in July have become much more attractive now that I have thought about them a little longer, and I’ve actually decided to develop a few of them. Everything happens for a reason.
